Create a google presentation based around the theme, "Five Things I would like my teacher to know about me" We have discussed this in class. I have sent
a google doc to you with the success criteria for this task. Any issues, please talk to me. PLEASE move this presentation into your "homelearning" folder.

• All TITLE Pages in books need to be completed by FRIDAY

Current Events - Complete this in your homelearning books. DUE Friday. See link on this wiki Current Events to find the task.

REMINDERS

• Hats - you have had a weeks grace to get yourselves sorted with a hat. There will now be consequences for students without a hat:)
• P.E Gear - bring this every day

Term 1: Week 1 DUE Friday 8th February

Tasks 1

Bring to school a baby photo of yourself. This will be returned to you at the end of the year. The photo can be a scanned copy of the original or the original itself, whatever your parent / caregiver decides is appropriate.

Task 2

• Log into your google apps account. Your password is sispupil13 - you will use this password to access your account, then you will need to select a new password. Please ensure the password you choose is not one that you will forget. Use the link on our class wiki for access.

Task 3

Create an avatar and a blurb for your e-portfolio. Remember, your avatar should be a "likeness" of yourself. First name only for your blurb, DO NOT
include any private information about yourself. Keep it positive and general.

Example: Welcome to my e-portfolio! This is my online space where I will be sharing
my learning. Feel free to browse my site and PLEASE leave a comment in my guestbook when you're done. Thanks!

There are a number of great websites for making your avatar.

My personal favourite is www.weeworld.com I also like using www.clayyourself.com Perhaps you know some other great ones?

HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR AVATAR TO YOUR E-PORTFOLIO

1. Make sure the avatar you have created is saved to the desktop of your computer.
2. Log into your google apps account using your email and password.
3. Click on the "Sites" button at the top of the page once you have logged in.
4. Click on your eportfolio to open it. Your eportfolio is called "Portfolio 2013"
5. Once you have opened your portfolio, click on the "more" drop down menu on the far right of the page.
6. Select "manage site" from this menu
7. On the far left side on the new page, select "site layout"
8. Now select the "edit" button beside the word "text"
9. Write your blurb in the box, underneath your blurb you can insert you avatar by following these steps:
• click "insert" then select "image
• select "choose file " and browse for the avatar on your computer
• once your avatar has been uploaded, you can resize it by selecting either S / M / L on the bottom bar
• click "OK" - then make sure you click "SAVE" at the top of the page when finished
